  • ZLUDA project brings CUDA-targeted Windows apps to AMD GPUs
A project enables CUDA-targeted Windows apps to run on an AMD RX 9060 XT via ZLUDA and ROCm/HIP.
    • For Windows developers running CUDA-facing applications, including CUDA-enabled LibTorch workloads, on AMD GPUs.
    • The stack combines ZLUDA v6-preview.69, AMD HIP SDK 6.4, and LibTorch 2.3.0+cu118; RX 9060 XT (gfx1200) is the only validated GPU.
    • nvcuda, cuBLAS, cuBLASLt, cuSPARSE, and cuFFT passed checks, while a 2,216,347-parameter PPO workload completed 65,536 timesteps.
    • Support remains workload-dependent: stable Windows HIP SDK lacks cuDNN, and the project reported 13,278 median steps/s versus 12,876 for a custom overlay on its reference workload.
